We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of a significant paving project that spans 7.75 miles from SC 24 to US 29! This milestone is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure that enhances safety and driving experiences for all road users.
Key Highlights of the Project:
- Road Widening: We’ve expanded the road by 4 feet on both sides, providing more space for vehicles and improving overall road safety.
- Cement Modified Recycled Base: Over 168,531 square yards of Cement Modified Recycled Base were used to ensure a strong and durable foundation.
- HMA Intermediate B: We laid down 16,727 tons of HMA Intermediate B, contributing to a robust intermediate layer that supports the final surface.
- HMA Surface B: The project also included 16,391 tons of HMA Surface B, creating a smooth and resilient driving surface.
This extensive work improves the road’s structural integrity and ensures a smoother, safer ride for everyone who travels along this route. The widened road and upgraded materials mean enhanced durability, better handling, and a significantly improved driving experience.
